City Extra - 2.50 - 17
I've been riding my Honda C90 since 2008 and tried many tyres along the way. Started with the Michelin M62 Gazelle back in the day. Soon after, Michelin introduced the M45 tyre. When that was discontinued, we got the City Pro tyres. They advertised it as better puncture resistant and better in wet. The Pro was discontinued quite fast and only had a pair of them before fitting the City Extra tyre over here. I am happy with this tyre, the thread patter in great and I am already at my 3rd set have them on my other C90. I do want to point out that compared to the M45, the wear rate is much lower. I know Michelin is between a rock and a hard place when it comes to tyre emissions. The wet performance is not better than the faster wearing M45... no surprise there. Also, the City Extra that's advertised for high puncture resistance was the only tyre I used from Michelin where a small stone chip went through the entire thread and punctured the inner tube. I've been riding my C90s from 2008 and I don't feel as safe around bends when it's wet as I used to feel using the M45. I prefer a faster wearing tyre which is better in wet than the alternative. But, the environmental gurus might disagree with me. Haven't fell yet, but had 2 very close calls around some roundabouts. Managed to save it every time due to having a lot of room to manoeuvre. Which is scary... Overall a good tyre which I recommend. Just be careful in the wet/cold weather. The longer-lasting compound does take longer to warm and isn't as effective in wet as the softer compound of the Michelin M45.
Excelente llanta
